Scanning services
ISAW Library offers reciprocal article scanning service to members of the NYU Community. This service allows NYU faculty, administrators, and doctoral students to remotely request scans of articles and book chapters for private study, scholarship, or research, within fair use guidelines.
The primary purpose of this service is to allow easier access to the ISAW Library’s unique collection to faculty and doctoral students at NYU’s Washington Square campus as well as the global campuses at Shanghai and Abu Dhabi. The service also allows members of the ISAW community to request scans of materials while away from our facilities (while on an excavation, on sabbatical, study abroad, etc.). ISAW-based students, faculty, and researchers should only make use of the scanning services during times when they are away from ISAW for an extended period of time.
Eligible patrons can request scans of materials in the ISAW Library from item records in Bobcat, NYU's library catalog.
