Elizabeth Bartman

Elizabeth Bartman is an independent scholar and former president of the Archaeological Institute of America. Current board service includes the presidency of the Etruscan Foundation and the co-chairmanship of the Art Committee of the Cosmopolitan Club of New York City. Her work focuses on Roman sculpture and its afterlife, and her books include Ancient Sculptural Copies in Miniature (Brill 1992); Portraits of Livia: Imaging the Imperial Female in Augustan Rome (Cambridge 1999); and The Ince Blundell Collection of Classical Sculpture. The Ideal Sculpture (Liverpool 2017). She is currently working on a study of the modern restoration of ancient marbles.
