Architecture with poet

In the foreground a staircase with three steps leads to a podium. On the podium, a bearded man dressed in a Greek-style robe is framed in a doorway. The laurel crown on his head and the scroll in his hand identify him as a poet. A large theatrical mask at the top the left suggests the podium may be a stage, but the oversize beardless mask here is too large for the man to wear relative to the scale of his head.
