With the show From Ancient to Modern: Archaeology and Aesthetics opening to the public on February 12, 2015, this week is especially busy and exciting for ISAW’s Exhibitions team!  There are many interesting lectures planned in conjunction with this exhibit, starting off with Glam-UR-ous: The Art of Archaeology and Aesthetics, which will be presented by co-curators Jennifer Y. Chi, ISAW Exhibitions Director and Chief Curator, and Pedro Azara, professor of aesthetics at Polytechnic University of Catalonia, this Thursday, February 12th at 6pm. The next lecture in the exhibition series, Sumerian Art and the Modernist Avant Garde, will be on February 26th at 6pm, presented by Zainab Bahrani, professor at Columbia University.

Both events are currently at capacity, but you can sign up to be on the wait list here.

Check out what other lectures are happening at ISAW on our events page and be sure to RSVP in advance!
