A list of books added to the ISAW Library in April 2016 is now available online on the ISAW Library Website. The titles are sorted in the website version according to thematic topics (e.g., "East Asia" and "Ancient Near East & Asia Minor"); and within each topic, the titles are organized according to Library of Congress classification. The authors and titles of works in non-Roman languages are given in their original script. This list is also available in a Zotero library.

The 186 new items added in April include a large number of titles on Chinese history and archaeology from the publisher Wenwu Chubanshe. Among these are recent excavation reports from sites ranging from Xinjiang (新疆昌吉回族自治州考古调查与发掘, Large Collection DS797.84.C536 X565 2015) to Liaoning (代海墓地 = Daihai cemetery, Large Collection DS797.62.F895 D35 2013). In addition to archaeological titles, April saw the addition of an important work on ancient Chinese literature to our library's collection: 全唐文新編 (Large Collection PL2501 .Q46 2000 v.1-22), a 22-volume critical history of the literature of the Tang Dynasty.

April also saw the addition of a number of titles that were kindly donated to the ISAW Library by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. These include a number of publications on archaeological sites in Germany, such as several volumes of the series Siedlungsarchäologie im Alpenvorland (Large Collection DD801.B2345 S54 1990 Bd.3-13), as well as material on Near Eastern excavations, including recent volumes of the journal Zeitschrift für Orient-Archäologie (Large Collection DS56 .Z45 Bd.6 (2013)-Bd. 8 (2015)). More information about this generous gift from the DFG can be found here.

As always, the titles added to the ISAW Library for the entire 2015-2016 academic year may be found both on our website and in our Zotero library.
