New ISAW Exhibition Team Member: Publications and Interpretive Manager

Kianoosh Hashemzadeh joined the ISAW exhibitions team in June 2015 as Publications and Interpretive Manager. She earned her MA in Islamic Studies from McGill University, where, for her thesis, she conducted a yearlong ethnography of Iranian immigrants living in Montreal. She also holds a MFA in Creative Writing from the New School and worked in trade book publishing for several years before joining ISAW. Most recently, Kianoosh was managing editor at Atavist Books, the book-publishing arm of Atavist, an innovative, digital storytelling platform.

At ISAW, Kianoosh will oversee the production of ISAW's exhibition catalogues as well the didactic texts in the galleries. She will also bring her digital experience to the gallery space as ISAW develops and expands the digital components of its future exhibitions.
