The Institute for the Study of the Ancient World, New York University, seeks to make an appointment (tenured or tenure-track, rank open) of a scholar with a focus in the archaeology and art of the Near Eastern world, broadly defined, in the late prehistoric and early historic periods, who can blend disciplinary approaches to interpret objects, sites, and landscapes. We are looking for someone with a broad range of interests and a commitment to the study of cultural connections across geographical and chronological lines.
