Bagnall elected to Society for Classical Studies presidency

Roger Bagnall, the Leon Levy Director of ISAW, has been elected president of the Society for Classical Studies. He will be president-elect in 2015, president in 2016, and past president in 2017. The Society, founded in 1869 as the American Philological Association, officially adopted its new name earlier this year. It is the principal scholarly organization in North America for classical studies. Bagnall earlier served the APA as its executive officer, a director, and vice president for research.
