From Ancient to Modern: Archaeology and Aesthetics opened on February 12, 2015 and has been met with great praise from the public and the press (read the New York Times review here).

At the opening of the exhibition, Julian Siggers, Director of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, and Jack Green, Chief Curator of the Oriental Institute, University of Chicago, made opening remarks alongside the exhibition's co-curators Jennifer Y. Chi, ISAW’s Exhibitions Director and Chief Curator, and Pedro Azara, Professor of Aesthetics at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. The opening event included a live performance of an ancient Near Eastern song by Joan Borrell (School of Architecture, Barcelona), a recording of which forms an installation as part of the exhibition.

From Ancient to Modern: Archaeology and Aesthetics closes on June 7, 2015. Come visit us and see the innovative exhibition that everyone is talking about!
