Excavations at Amheida 2012 Post-Season Presentation

Amheida Excavation Team

The 2012 excavation season of the NYU-Columbia excavations at Amheida, in the Dakhla Oasis of Egypt, produced a wealth of new information ranging from the first-identified Pharaonic stratigraphy to a large Roman coin hoard - both in the temple area. Members of the excavation team will also present the discovery of a church and the finding of a workshop for producing mosaics, as well as the completed map of Amheida's urban fabric.
