Accessioning of Åström Library Completed

The ISAW Library is pleased to announce that it has just completed accessioning the library of Professor Paul Åström (January 15, 1929 – October 4, 2008). Åström was a renowned Swedish archaeologist and classical scholar who produced pioneering work on the archaeology and prehistory of Cyprus. His library collection was not only deep in Cypriot archaeology, but also broad, extending to the archaeology of the wider Eastern Mediterranean. Åström also established his own publishing company, Astrom Editions, in 1962, and his collection included various works published under that imprint. The addition of the Åström library contributes almost 7,000 volumes to the ISAW stacks.
