New Exhibitions Team Member: Rachel Herschman, Curatorial Assistant

Rachel Herschman joined ISAW as Curatorial Assistant in April 2016. A member of the exhibitions team, she helps realize two shows and scholarly catalogues annually. She participates in the study, interpretation and display of artifacts, as well as the exhibition design and installation process.

Most recently, Rachel worked as Curatorial Assistant for Publications at the Jewish Museum. Prior to that, she was an Educator at the Lower East Side Tenement Museum. She holds a B.A. from McGill University and an M.A. from the University of Washington, where she is currently completing her Ph.D. Her research focuses on the history of puppets and puppetry in 20th century Germany.
