ISAW and OER Project Team Up for K–12 Educator Workshop on Early Belief Systems
ISAW's Expanding the Ancient World (ETAW) outreach program is partnering with the OER Project for a special virtual workshop aimed at K–12 educators.
On Tuesday, May 12 from 7:00–8:15 pm ET, ISAW Leon Levy Director Greg Woolf will lead "Early Belief Systems: A Classroom Approach." The session explores the "lived ancient religion" approach, shifting the focus from institutions and doctrines to the everyday choices and practices of ordinary people.
Through three case studies from the ancient Near East and Mediterranean, educators will gain practical teaching strategies to help students move beyond surface-level summaries and connect ancient belief systems to broader historical themes.
The event is free and open to all. Registration is required.
