LAWDNY Event
CFP: Digital Antiquity Research Workshop 2016
December 2, 2016

Following up on last year's successful program, the Library and the Digital Programs team of the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World is pleased to announce another LAWDNY (Linked Ancient World Data Initiative New York) event: the Digital Antiquity Research Workshop 2016. The day-long event will be an opportunity for scholars and scholars-in-training to present work in progress concerning digital approaches to the study of antiquity.

We invite all students and scholars interested in the application of digital techniques to the study of antiquity to participate in an informal workshop devoted to works in progress. We extend a special invitation to first- and second-year graduate students who are new to the digital humanities and interested in learning more about the local digital projects, initiatives, and community in ancient studies.

Presentations will be approximately 15-20 minutes in length with time for discussion afterwards. Information about last year's presenters and topics can be found here.

If you are interested in presenting at the Digital Antiquity Research Workshop, please fill out the form at http://bit.ly/lawdny-2016-cfp by noon, October 28, 2016. Accepted proposals will be announced the first week of November. If you have any questions about the event, please email Patrick J. Burns at patrick.j.burns@nyu.edu.

Note that it is not necessary to present in order to attend the workshop, though we do ask that those planning to attend register at http://bit.ly/lawdny-2016-cfp by November 23, 2016.
