A list of books added to the ISAW Library in January 2016 is now available online on the ISAW Library Website. The titles are sorted in the website version according to thematic topics (e.g., "East Asia" and "Ancient Near East & Asia Minor"); and within each topic, the titles are organized according to Library of Congress classification. The authors and titles of works in non-Roman languages are given in their original script. This list is also available in a Zotero library.

The 115 new items added in January include a number of recent publications on Western, Central, and East Asian cultures and archaeological sites, many of them published in Russia. Aleksandr Leskov, E.A. Beglova, I.V. Ksenofontova, and V.R. Ėrlikh's Меоты Закубанья IV-III вв. до н.э. (Maeotians of the Trans-Kuban region in the 4th-3rd centuries BC) (Large Collection DK651.U43 M46 2013) explores several Maeotian necropoleis in the Black Sea Region. Древнейшие европейцы в сердце Азии (Earliest Europeans in the Heart of Asia) (Oversize Collection DK771.A25 D75 2014), edited by A.A. Kovalev, discusses Chemchurek sites in and around the Altai Mountains. Patrick Wertmann's Sogdians in China (Large Collection DS731.S63 W47 2015) analyzes a number of tombs from the 3rd through the 10th centuries, illustrating the Sogdian diaspora and exploring the robust links between East and Central Asia. These and other titles added in January enrich the ISAW Library's coverage of the cultural interconnections across Asia in antiquity.
