A list of books added to the ISAW Library in August 2015 is now available online both on the ISAW Library website and our Zotero library of new items. The titles are sorted in the website version according to thematic topics (e.g., "East Asia" and "Ancient Near East & Asia Minor"); and within each topic, the titles are organized according to Library of Congress classification. Beginning with this month's list, we will be listing the authors and titles of works in non-Roman languages in their original script.

The lion's share of the 242 titles added in August are devoted to China, thanks in large part to a generous donation by Prof. Valerie Hansen. This donation includes significant materials on the Song and Tang dynasties as well as the Silk Road. In addition to this donation, in August we also completed the processing of a strategic purchase of over 300 recent titles in Chinese history and archaeology. A significant amount of material on the Ancient Near East was also processed in August, mainly materials on Mesopotamia and Palestine from the collections of Hayim and Miriam Tadmor and Robert D. Biggs. The latter collection includes a significant number of primary materials in Assyriology, including installments of major series such as the Archives Royales de Mari and the State Archives of Assyria.
