Course Registration

Students may register for courses via the online Albert system accessible from their NYUHome page. The opening date and closing date for course enrollment for each term are listed on the NYU Academic Calendar page.

To enroll in an ISAW course, students must first obtain permission from the instructor. Please contact the instructor via email to ask for permission and then forward the instructor's response to isaw.academic.affairs@nyu.edu to get the Albert permission code. If registering for an ISAW directed study, the appropriate number of credits should be determined in consultation with the instructor prior to registration. To register for a course offered by another NYU department, please contact the administrator for that department.

Students may enroll in up to 16 credits per semester; enrollment in excess of 16 credits requires approval from the Director of Graduate Studies. Please use this form to request approval.
