Course Registration

Students may register for courses via the online Albert system accessible from their NYUHome page. Students should monitor the NYU Registrar deadlines for course registration each semester to ensure timely enrollment.

To enroll in an ISAW course, students must first obtain permission from the instructor. Please contact the instructor via email to ask for permission and then forward the instructor's response to the Associate Director for Academic Affairs to get the Albert permission code. If registering for an ISAW directed study, the appropriate number of credits should be determined in consultation with the instructor prior to registration. To register for a course offered by another NYU department, please contact the administrator for that department.

Students may enroll in up to 16 credits per semester; enrollment in excess of 16 credits requires approval from the Director of Graduate Studies. Please use this form to request approval.
