C. 128 Statue of a male figure from Đại Hữu

Text Statue of a male figure bearing the om̐ sign on his mitre and an invocation on his back which should have had to be engraved. Intended to be written in Old Cam.

Date End of the 14th Century- beginning of the 15th century Śaka (15th century CE).

Origin Settlement of Đại Hữu (Vietnam).

The statue was found in Đại Hữu and was presented in Parmentier 1909: 213-214. In Schweyer 2008a: 228, the statue is said to be dissapeared. We found the statue on display at the history Museum of Hồ Chí Minh City in 2009. According to the staff Museum, the statue had been seized by the Vietnamese customs and was integrated in the collection of the History Museum on 11 November 2004. Its inventory number is BTLS 24408.
