Satellite Image Enhancements

Chris Small, a research scientist at Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, in 2002 processed the first group of enhanced satellite images of the Dakhleh Oasis. The images are of the settlement core of the archaeological site. As you move to the right, the images become more sharp. The three images at the top are within the range of visible colors while the second, third and forth rows include colors outside of the visible spectrum to highlight vegetation and other geographic features.
