Mimi joined ISAW in 2019. She earned her Ph.D. from Cornell University where she studied English though her work is interdisciplinary in nature. In her 2015 book, Architectural Involutions: Writing, Staging, and Building Space, ca 1439-1650, she considered how art, architecture, and theatre intersect to produce physical and psychic interiority. She comes to ISAW from the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pittsburg where she was an Associate Editor.
