Junli graduated with a B.A. from Henan University in China in 1998 and completed his studies in Canada at Queen’s University (M.Ed., 2004) and McGill University (M.L.I.S., 2006). He joined the ISAW Library in September of 2012, coming from the Green Library at Florida International University. Junli has deep experience in cataloging and metadata services, with a special expertise in East Asian materials, having served as a librarian, cataloger, and Chinese rare books consultant at numerous institutions, including The College of the North Atlantic, Newfoundland and Labrador; the Education Library of the University of Toronto; the New York Public Library; and the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto. At ISAW Junli is focusing on cataloging our recent acquisitions of Chinese-language materials and assisting in the general development of our East Asian collections.
