Christian Casey

CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow

Christian Casey joined the ISAW Library in the Fall 2019, where he works on digital projects that help to make the library collection more useful to the ISAW community and more accessible to a broad audience. He completed his PhD in Egyptology at Brown University, with a dissertation that focused on digitizing Demotic texts for the purposes of linguistic and historical research. He has also worked at the Center for Digital Scholarship and the Haffenreffer Museum at Brown University, and collaborated on numerous digital publishing projects with an Egyptological focus. His unique interests include: Egyptian phonology, the computational study of ancient languages, digital publishing, and graphic design.
