The Institute for the Study of the Ancient World at NYU (ISAW) is a center for interdisciplinary research and graduate education on antiquity in Eurasia and Africa. ISAW is also committed to making the results of this work accessible through public lectures, outreach activities and exhibitions. The exhibitions are a visual manifestation of the ISAW mission and form a crucial link between the work carried out in ISAW and the wider public. The exhibitions program is an integral part of ISAW’s mission. ISAW does not have collections of its own. Its exhibitions depend on loans from museums and other partners in the US and overseas.
