  Collection of the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Columbia Univer
 sity\, which was cataloged by renowned historian of mathematics Profes
 sor David Pingree\, contains a wealth of materials for researching ast
 ronomy\, mathematics\, astrology\, and omens in South Asia. Most of th
 e 358 manuscripts are primarily Jyotiṣaśāstra in category. We have
  organized this conference to encourage scholarly discussion as a cele
 bration of the collection.
