 Sogdians were a diverse community of merchant families occupying the o
 ases regions of Central Asia between the 4th-8th centuries CE. This wo
 rkshop will present texts and materials for discussing the interconnec
 ted and multicultural society of the Sogdians along the so-called "Sil
 k Roads," with an emphasis on personal experiences at home and abroad.
