Alexander joined ISAW in February 2012. Prior to this appointment, he was the Director at a Chelsea gallery where he focused on building museum relations. He also served as the Assistant Curator at the New Britain Museum of American Art, where he curated numerous historical and contemporary exhibitions as well as contributed to and edited the accompanying catalogues. Alexander is an alumnus of Vassar College where his studies concentrated on Art History and Italian, and has held positions at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center.
